One of the most common requests after you provide SharePoint site to the users is to change the basic look and feel. This has been happenning with all the versions of SharePoint. Users don't want default look and feel. Even the new themes do not always satisfy the users.
The basic change that users want from on the page is webpart title. This is a simple change but has very good impact. If you need to do it at a very high level and make sure it is not easily changeable, you can create new master pages or features to implement it. It is very useful for organization level branding.
However, if you are looking to implement something at a samll scale you can follow the below mentioned approach.

However, if you are looking to implement something at a samll scale you can follow the below mentioned approach.
- Open the page where you want the changes to show up
- Create a content editor webpart
- Edit the HTML of the content editor webpart and add CSS code. It would look similar to what is given below but you can update the styling as per your requirement:
- <style type="text/css"> .ms-WPHeader {BORDER-BOTTOM-STYLE: none; BACKGROUND-COLOR: #faac58; BORDER-LEFT-STYLE: none; BORDER-TOP-STYLE: none; BORDER-RIGHT-STYLE: none}.ms-WPTitle {FONT-FAMILY: "Cambria"; COLOR: #fff; FONT-SIZE: 16pt; FONT-WEIGHT: bold}.ms-WPTitle A {FONT-FAMILY: "Cambria"; COLOR: #fff; FONT-SIZE: 16pt; FONT-WEIGHT: bold}.ms-wpTdSpace {BACKGROUND-COLOR: #faac58.ms-WPHeaderCbxHidden {DISPLAY: none}</style>
- The Style above uses background color but you can use the images as well to give it a better feel.
- Alternatively, you can create a CSS file and link it in the HTML code instead of writing everying in the content editor webpart
- Once your webpart is set up and you have the desired style, just remove the title of the webpart and publish the page
In our farm, we have created multiple content enditor webparts and provided them as a app to the user. They can choose the style of there liking and just include it on the page.
