Audit log reports - Content Viewing - Does not work on SharePoint online

If you don't have custom analytics tool set up for SharePoint, you generally rely on Site collection Audit log reports to provide you web analytics data.

Bad news is that the Content viewing option in audit log report does not work for SharePoint Online. Although , you still see the option when you try to generate the report it gives you an error that the report can not be generated because it is empty.

But the good news is that if you are a global admin for your Office 365 tenant, you can get similar kind of data from Security and compliance App by searching audit logs as shown below.

Hope Microsoft gets good analytics option for SharePoint online soon.
